The Maya civilization is one of the most controversial, interesting and less known civilizations that has ever lived on the face of the Earth. What sets it apart so much is the fact that it is a type of civilization that was amazingly able to built constructions that seem to defy the technology possible in the era, they have paintings and carvings that seem to pay tribute to a long lost civilization of alien provenance, and also, they are the ones attesting to the ancient astronaut theory.
The Mayans are the ones to have created the most intriguing bas-reliefs in existence, bas-reliefs that seem to showcase a human or humanoid creature inside a space suit, around a number of knobs and controls that seem to suggest a very intricate spaceship construction. No matter if one is to believe these as representations of real objects or just crazy imaginative work, they seem to pinpoint to a way of life and a way of thinking beyond what other civilizations have ever been able to conjure.
But, what strikes many as the most inciting premise while linking them to non-human, alien activity, is their relatively sudden disappearance form the face of the Earth as a civilization. One of the most far-fetched theories is that many of them were taken by aliens and simply left our planet, while others believe that they simply had a conflict with the alien race that advanced them technologically, conflict which ended with them being decimated.
What remains of the Mayans however, attests to their highly spiritual life, a life that proves to us that they were indeed very interested in astronomy and astrology, while technologically they were ahead of their time, sometimes very unnaturally so. Whatever one wants to read in their remains, they will continue to fascinate and many mysteries will continue to emerge as we learn more about them.
