The Easter Island statues seem to represent some beings other than humans, or superhuman, a theory which has led many to believe that they were either influenced by extraterrestrials, or that they were built by extraterrestrials from the ground up. It comes as no surprise thus that many have wondered through the years whether or not this might have been the case.
The theory according to which extraterrestrials have been constantly visiting and supervising the Earth is a theory that many have been in favor of. Many believe that at crucial periods in our history the out of this world life forms were able to come and set us on a different, better path. This is how we must have avoided extinction, natural catastrophes and many other occurrences that would have otherwise terminated us as a species.
What has boggled the minds of the people who tend to consider the Easter Island monumental statues is their apparent remoteness. The fact that these statues are in place in an area where it is not easy to reach, that might have required a lot of time and a lot of competence to get there, makes it harder to understand why and how people could have built these constructions there without the help of other life forms.
The stone heads are also in themselves reminiscent of other depictions of life forms, cave paintings and other such productions that might prove either a common imaginary or the fact that the people were indeed visited by a life superior to their own. Of course, these are speculative voices, voices which might not be interested in the truth of the matter but in generating hype with farfetched ideas. At any rate, the heads on the island remain a wonder to see and to analyze, and whether they depict aliens or simply are the product of human imagination, they will continue to steer controversy for generations to come.
